Blue Stain Pine

The mountain pine beetle has killed massive numbers of the lodgepole pine trees in the northern Rocky Mountains. If not removed, the dead trees increase the incidence of wildfires, and may contribute to climate change as they decay. Likewise, trees that were damaged in forest fires, floods or other events can have a negative impact on the overall health of a forest.

Fortunately, we've incorporated this beetle kill wood and fire-damaged wood into our products.

Sustainable Woods

Brad, one of our loggers in Colorado, travels deep into the mountains to harvest damaged trees, like the one shown above, which died due to the mountain pine beetle.

With distinctive beautiful gray, blue or even red stripes, this wood is known as Blue Stain Pine. It can be turned into amazing, sustainable furniture, which is a win/win for everyone....especially the forests.

We are very experienced in designing and building tables for restaurants and commercial establishments across the country. We can quickly and efficiently build large quantities. In fact, we once built over 100 custom tables in two days (but that's a different story....).

We'll also then bring 'em right to you, as we have the logistical capabilities to distribute, deliver and install across the country.

Branding

We've worked with our clients to develop their logos onto the tables for a distintive look, customized to the establishment. In the photo above, we burnt the logo by hand onto the table surface for a cool, rustic look.

Custom Stains

Another interesting option for Blue Stain Pine is to stain the wood in order to give it a beautiful, rich color. While the blondes with gray stripes can be very striking and modern in a room, the dark stains can lend a whole different aesthetic. We work closely with our clients to brainstorm which colors work best for their unique space.

Rich Colors

The table shown above was one in a series of about 25 that we designed and built for a restaurant in Lone Tree, Colorado. This client loved the story behind the Blue Stain Pine, and wanted to utilize wood that was local and sustainable. We created a custom stain to match the rustic decor of their establishment. This created a custom, cost effective and creative solution for their furniture needs.

Creative Aesthetics

We love brainstorming our client's vision and finding interesting ways to bring this vision to life. In the photo above, we found old shell casings and attached them to the edges of the tables. This little detail makes the tables stand out and adds to the visual interest of the restaurant.

We recently designed an innovative table line for small spaces. This unique table, using a custom hydraulic system, can easily change heights. Whether you need a coffee table, dining table, or bar table, you can quickly adjust the base with small pins for easy transistions.
